Nomad's Mission
Nomad works with MTNS2SEA and Shared Adventures to provide opportunities to sail for those who otherwise couldn't. Check out their websites to learn more about what they provide.
Youth Sailing
The Youth Sailing Program is one of Nomad Sailing Charter’s core missions. This outreach into the local Santa Cruz Community is possible through our partnership with Mountains2Sea (mtns2sea.org). We serve high school youth who otherwise would have no access to the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary.
Many years ago, as a classroom teacher, Captain Brian dreamed of a school sailing ship concept. Now, because of Nomad Sailing’s partnership with Mountains2Sea, students from local alternative high schools spend time sailing, observing wildlife, building sailing skills, and collecting data for citizen science.

Shared Adventures
Nomad Sailing Charters partners with Shared Adventures, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving quality of life for those with disabilities. We set sail with children and adults with physical and developmental challenges, enjoying the beauty of nature in a way that is otherwise inaccessible. Our crew and participants can enjoy a relaxing cruise or an adventurous day sailing. Some choose to lounge on our bow beanbags and others help set sails, spot wildlife, and even take the helm!
